this mugo is not collectable, because it´s growing between stones and not in humus. Especially the older mugos are very sensible on that score. Each try would be a failure! But anyway, it is - and will always be a sheer deligt to look at such time-honored pines in the wild :) I just love it!
that was my queastion... I had some failures with pines over rocks. But here, in general we search always in rocks were natural pots were formed thousands of years ago... when we go there... we see hundreds of pines but 1 or 2, not more, are collectable... and if you have the chance that is a good one, Bingo!!!
