Demo: Sebastien Dalbera with Pinus Sylvestris

This 2 Frenchmen were definitely my favorites on this years demo-platform! It was impressing to look at their professional and pedantic approach on sylvestris pine. The work on the dead-wood with "Si-Diao" technique but also the shaping knocked just my socks off!!!

I have been told, that this pine has been cultivated in pot since 1984! I´m looking forward to see more workings from Sebastien Dalbera and Sebastien Rouzot in near future!

I have never heard from Michele before, but I really like his relaxed and steady manner on a demo.

It was interesting watching Serge with this shrub. He made a nice shaping in such a short time!

Demo: Serge Clémence with Juniper

Serge collected this juniper in the Swiss alps. During his demo, he gave us some helpful tips regarding caregiving & cultivation from juniper yamadoris. I still don´t have any experience with collecting junipers, so it was again something new what I have learned on this afternoon.

Serge is not only a good framer but also a top drawer!

There were a lot of dealers offering everything a bonsai-heart desires!









I couldn´t resist not buying a tree, so I decided to take a little shohin (Itoigawa Juniper). Dave and I had a really good talk & laugh with this funny Belgian Bonsai dealer :)
