Trash OR Top Class?

What do you think about this fagus sylvatica? Is this just an ugly shrub or does it have the potential to become once a really interesting bonsai?

The approx. trunk diameter is 30 - 35 cm.

Alpine Walkabout

Dave and I have spent the last and sunny summer weekend in the mountains. I´m glad that we went, because today it´s already snowing up there!

Dave´s Acer Palmatum No. 1

Dave bought this shohin from a German bonsai nursery in spring 2008. I want to show you the tree through the seasons. I find, it´s definitely a spring-time tree.

Ceramics by "HHpots" arrived

Since I´ve bought a few accent plants from Wolfgang Putz, I was constantly searching for some worthy pots.

Finally I found some by the Austrian potter "Horst Heinzlreiter". Can hardly wait spring time, to be able to transplant the hostas into the new ceramics :)

Dave´s Mugo Pine No. 2

Dave collected this pine in May 2009. I find, it has a typical traditional Japanese character ... even without doing any styling-action!
