Cleaning the Deadwood

The first three photos show Dave, cleaning deadwood of one of his mugo pines. He did this job in August 2009 because he wasn´t happy with the dark color. I gave him my Dremel milling-machine and he brushed the parts clean.









The next images are from yesterday. As you can see, the wood changed the color into this gorgeous silver at a rapid pace. Dave didn´t use any preservative or lime sulfur! The new color came up naturally!
