New Ash a Step further

This tree has been traded few weeks ago at Walter Pall´s. Yesterday I decided to shorten the longest trunk to make the tree look more compact. Besides, the sunbeams will be able to reach the important parts of the tree and now I´m hoping for new buddings on the right spots.

The nebari is far away from perfect what eased my decision for picking up a new front side.

Now, after first styling (first image = front):

The new shari is still in progress and it will look awful during the next few years - but that´s O.K. for now. I´m not aiming to have a shari on top, but rather a decomposed hollow!

As you can see, I cleaved the cut surface with a chisel. In this way, the wood is able to resorb the moisture even faster. I hope my plan is going to function :)
